Dear Log,

More deep thoughts about Pod.

I'm trying to settle on the interface(s) for Pod parsing. One size does not fit all. It'll be wheels within wheels within wheels within a mystery wrapped within an enigma wrapped in aluminum foil and baked for an hour at 350F. Oh wait, that last part is for sweet potatoes.

(Peel, slice in half or quarters, add butter, salt, pepper, "reassamble" and wrap in foil, and put on a baking sheet. And I said sweet potatoes (Ipomea batata, AKA 'uala), not yams (Dioscorea foo, AKA uhi)! PUNK!)

Blizzard outside. Returning to torpor.

Holy potatos batman!

Actually I prefer my sweet tatties just baked with no foil - makes the skin nice and crisp and chewy...

But anyway, back to POD... The more you get into this aren't you thinking more and more about just using XML?

Completely. XML will be the canonical interface. But I'm offering an additional shortcut interface off to the side, which are basically interfaces to what you get if you pushed the XML output from the XML interface over to XML::Parser or XML::TokeParser. One'll be SAXy, one'll be a pull parser.
