The big rule

Dear Log,

It's not always in the last place you look. But it very often is.

The last place

Isn't last if $object->found almost always a given?

Even when not.

Am I missing something?

Usually when you are looking for something, you stop looking once you've found it.. which makes that place the last place you were looking (even if it's actually the first place you were looking)..

What you're missing is that it might not be in any of the places you look.

Well, you wont leave your chainsaw in the bathroom, so there is no point in actually looking for it there. Looking for your chainsaw in the places where it would seem logical to leave it is a good start. No one can think better as you than you.. so pretend you're you and think where you would leave your pair of black latex pants..
