Dear Log,
Living in New Mexico, I did have the feeling that the place had once been a Spanish-speaking New World extremity of Spain and then Mexico. But I dare say that, now that I'm in Alaska, I've never had the feeling that this used to be part of Russia -- nobody speaks Russian, and the only Russian names to be found are the names of some of the islands and straits.
Meanwhile, today I programmed. A lot. I consumed much french toast and iced tea.
