Dear Log,
The heatwave continues. I almost wish I'd dropped big money on the transcontinental flight to YAPC in Buffalonius, NY, just so I could get out of the heat. I forgot to drink enough water yesterday and started to get sorta weird and light-headed. Luckily, I chugged some weak iced tea and was better very soon.
I'm using the heat as an excuse to avoid programming. At least I'm sleeping a bit, if only for an hour or two at a time.
I think I'll read in bed -- except I can't do as usual and put the laptop on my chest and read saved articles, because the laptop puts out too much heat. Fine in winter, but a bad idea now.
The cat is becoming flatter and longer.
I'd go play in the ocean to cool off, but I'm a bit wary of the billions of jellyfish.
