Dear Log,
Is there a curse on the Cal State schools that nobody in the media can identify them right? I just heard one of the main doofs on Colonial House "professor of Religious Studies at the University of California in Chico." They meant CSU Chico.

Yes, there is. I went to CSU Sacramento, myself. No one could ever get it right. The closest was usually "Sac State," a holdover from the old days when it was "Sacramento State College," but which we continued to use even after we got the "University" moniker.

I went to CSU Northridge. Thank you. Thank you. Hold your applause till the end.I hear CSUN keeps wanting to fiddle with their name in the invitingly meaningless space between the "CSU" and the "Northridge". They normally alternate between "California State University Northridge" and "California State University, Northridge", but have been know to bi-curiously experiment with "California State University at Northridge" and even "The California State University at Northridge".
I live in fear of the coming of "California State University chez Northridge", for that will signal the end of time. It is Hopi prophecy.
