Rooms contain live streams

Dear Log,

«The basement corridors are flooded; some of the adjacent rooms contain live streams. Towards the interior of the building the noise of rushing water is, in fact, so loud that the splashing of one's own footsteps is lost beneath the din.»

I grew up just a few miles from Byberry. We used to drive by there all the time, and I always wondered what it looked like inside.

I don't think the buildings are quite as ugly as the author implies. But of course, anything that's been abandoned for more than a decade is going to fall into disrepair.

The complex sits on prime real estate in Northeast Philadelphia. Even with the all the asbestos and decay and such I'm surprised it hasn't been sold and redeveloped yet.
