Busy busy. I cooked up a Perl program to conjugate Haida verbs. Probably soon to appear as a book called 201 Haida Verbs, Fully Conjugated and Eating Your Brain Because It All Sounds The Same.
Today I got up and went and took some pictures in the old mining ruins in the forest around here. I stomped around in swamp to get some hopefully decent pics. My boots kept my feet wet, but ended up pinching like hell. I had a few run-ins with evil stinging devil's-club plants, which did not improve my mood.
Watched Diner on DVD, went outside and saw some big blurry auroras. The solar storm makes the whole night sky look like the inside of an old blue 50s CRT.

Eh? I'm confused. I find that warm feet are happy feet, and that as long as my walking boots keep my feet warm and dry, the rest of me is reasonably happy even if it's damp.
The other thing I find is that the principle source of water ingress (and hence unhappiness) is through the holes in my walking boots. The holes that let my feet in
