Oops Dead, Part 2: This Time It's Off-Camera!
Although it surprises even me to say so, I believe the policy to end press coverage of returning military dead is made for sound logistical and even ethical reasons. As much as I enjoy a good Bush wacking and as much I as I suspect that the administration will benefit from no showing the parade of corpses coming back from Iraq, I nevertheless believe the motives behind this policy are non-political and that the new policy promotes the dignity of the scarifice.
Go figure.
