It's a nice game, I have never heard of it until we got to imlement a smart player (in Lisp, yeehah) in my AI course in Uni.

There are many variations, with this amount of stones, this amount of lines, etc. Some of them are solved, some aren't.

I dimly remember learning to play when I was like 5 or 6, back in elemantary school in L.A.. I haven't played it since, tho.

There is a version of it on my Nokia phone called Bantumi.

It can be played online with the appropriate plugin. They even have a short flash based explanation.
