Dear Log,

Tk seems to be tragic, in a very Greek tragedy kind of way. That is, a lot of people did their darnedest to do the right thing with it, and they did a good job individually -- but yet somehow it all faills to fit together into a sane result. Instead, Tk fits together like an ISO-standard nightmare: pure arcana. It's not fair!


GUIs in general

I've never been able to get the hang of GUI programming. I've tried Tk, Motif (bleargh), Gtk, Qt in various combinations of C, Perl and Python. Oh, and XUL. It always overwhelms me far too quickly.

The closest I ever came to finding something usable were the XML GUI things like Glade and QT Designer.

On the whole, it's just much, much easier to develop a web page...
