I have discovered that cumin in marinara sauce is pretty good!
A Lebanese friend of mine talking about an Egyptian friend of ours' recipes: "Cumin, CUMIN, POUNDS of cumin in everything! Good GOD, Egyptians and their cumin!"
Discovery from last year: cumin makes refried beans really good.
cumin makes almost everything taste better. Ever since I found that you can get seeds cheap at your local indian grocer, I've bought bags of them and done a roast-grind combo every few weeks or so.
And thank you for reminding me to lookup how to pronounce it. Apparently you can use either 'koo' min or 'kyu' min. The latter sounds better to me, for whatever reason.
