Looks like MySQL version 4 is ready for use.
I have been running 2 linux servers on 4.05 for about 3 months without any problem - the boolean fulltext search capabilities rock.
If I have time I will upgrade our servers, but as they are both accessable only through the system itself as opposed to the network - there is no rush to upgrade unless the newer release can show significantly improved performance and stability.
