Following a brief investigation I found a couple of issues in some of the handlers and also integrated the PHP handler into the release.
Muttley pointed out how crufty the tarball was and that it needed a good clean. So I removed the cruft and updated all the documents.
Finally I will put the newer version up on the website this afternoon (UK time).
