Devon/Cornwall Perl Mongers

In the first devoncornwall.pm social for quite some time, we ended up having 9 people come (including matt and myself, who left early).

We'll probably hold the next one in plymouth, and look to organise a Technical Meeting with a few good speakers in the next couple of months.

Birmingham.pm are now thinking about adding you guys to our World Tour of UK Perl Monger user groups itinerary. Not sure when yet, but it looks like we can get a train down, which will save on the fuel bill and stress. Are you going to stick to a regular location or move about, as we'd rather pick a date when we can get a direct train to wherever you end up? Looking at Virgin trains, it's £34 to Totnes and £36 to Plymouth, so it's not too pricey either.

Plymouth seems most likely as it is only an hour from pretty much anywhere (reasonable) in Devon and Cornwall.

The barbican is the only part of the city that even approaches pleasant, the rest was bombed into oblivion and rebuilt in the 60s. We should be able to find a decent pub around the barbican, and we can also take advantage of being near cap'n jaspers (http://www.capn-jaspers.co.uk/).
