I have just announced a preliminary roadmap for Maypole versions 2.10 and 2.11 on the list. You can see the details on the roadmap page of the wiki.
The current 2.10 release is on schedule to available in the first or second week of July and will be only small fixes and updates. No real new features I'm afraid.
All the cool stuff is scheduled for 2.11 we have some interesting features we want to include and 2.11 will form the basis of new Maypole development focusing on ease of use / installation and performance.
