Following Michel's feedback and some ideas of my own the new version of XML::DOM::BagOfTricks (0.02) should be on its way to CPAN as I type.
It changes the API (which was ambiguous) and adds new features such as adding Elements, Attributes, etc to an existing node.
Documentation is also fixed.
