The eurovision had some quite good songs, by continental and eastern european standards, this weekend.
Serbia and Montenegro should have won, failing that Turkey, but costumes and looks won the day for the Ukraine.
Turkey's entry was a Less Than Jake Lite number and was quite enjoyable. S & B's entry involved a nose flute and got a lot of stick from wogan but was understandably popular in the rest of europe.
The UK, and Ireland provided dull, accoustic guitar boyband crap.
Greeces entry was fun and provided a hint of greece, unlike Cyprus' entry which provided a bland singer from kent singing a bland song written in english - not a hint of cyprus in the song, the lyrics or the outfit. Of course it did well by scoring points from both Turkey and Cyprus, as always as well as some of its agean chums.
