Bad thing to see in your bathroom in your new house at 11:30 pm : water dripping from your light.

Not good, not good at all

Today we have no water as I have turned the supply off at the mains and emptied the water tank in the attic. Now I just need to wait til this evening when my father will give me a hand fitting a new ballcock and fixing the waste pipe (the waste pipe was totally detached from the tank so the overflow just dripped down through the ceiling)

New houses suck.

We had water overflow from the tub in the master bath upstairs and leak down through the kitchenette chandelier downstairs.

Good times.

Wednesday evening, my wife went downstairs to switch out a load of laundry and found a huge mound of bubbles had overtaken our laundry room. Seems the drain from the washer had gotten plugged, and most of the water (and soap, obviously) from a load of laundry was on the floor.

Thank goodness for tile.
