I've been busy these days with various social commitments. Friday saw Bob Douglas' retirement from the University Computer Services, so we gathered at the Royal Oak to see him off; although I doubt that will be the last we'll see of him. :)
Yesterday was taken up with getting to London for the BOFH meeting; Tori was coming over from New York so a bunch of us went down to meet her. We had a meal and copious quantities of fine British ale at the Green Man, Gt. Portland St., and I caught up with a few people I haven't seen in a very long time.
On Friday, Alex Page foolishly posted to London.PM asking if he was the only Perl hacker in Oxford. I rounded up the usual suspects, and we're hoping to have a meet after the Linux Day today - I'm not involved in that, but it looks like the Oxfordshire Linux Users Group are arranging an installfest down in Donnington.
