perlbug spam

I posted this to p5p, but I thought it might be interesting for non p5p readers:

About 70% of the email (by volume and quantity) that perlbug receives is classified as spam by our filters. In the past month, that's 18MB of mail.

modules@perl.org needs your help!

Whatever filters you have, you should give them to the modules@perl.org admins. I happened to stop by an archive today and I was absolutely amazed at what I found: mountains of spam obscurring the legitimate traffic.

I have been slacking lately; sorry. We'll get it fixed in not too long. Maybe even this week.

ah, just realized that this is Robert's journal, so rest assured that everything is in good hands. (By "we" above I meant Robert and/or myself).
