Final Futurama

The final Futurama aired tonight. It was brilliant.

I hope it comes back somehow... I will miss it. But at least it ended happily. (Go Fry!)

Final

I suspected it might be the final one, for the opening line about "see you on another network." Fox mishandled this brilliant show from day one. Last I heard, the makers of the show had basically moved on to other gigs awhile ago, because they had prepared so many shows in advance, that Fox never got around to airing, etc., so that even if some other network wanted to pick it up, it would be difficult to get the same people back together. I'm Cursed

In the past five years, every new show I've liked has gone away prematurely. Here's your chance to ask me not to watch your favorite new shows. I can't promise it'll help, but I can promise that if you liked the Tick, the Lone Gunmen, Futurama, Farscape, or Firefly, I'll try not to screw things up for your show. Just send me the DVD box sets when they're out.

perhaps it would be best for all of us if you just stopped watching tv entirely ;-)

Maybe he could start watching "reality" TV.

We all know I'm not that selfless.

I'd say you're only batting .500 though. Some of those shows should never have made it on the air.

"the Tick, the Lone Gunmen, Futurama, Farscape, or Firefly"

I'm with you for four out of five.

(would have gladly traded the last two seasons of X-Files for a full season of Firefly)

Me too, though a different four.

And I would add Sports Night.

At least The Simpsons and The West Wing and Law & Order (uno, dos, tres) are popular enough to stay on the air, despite being good shows. Oh, and on cable, Stargate SG-1, for now.
