I never heard back from the previous publisher who seemed interested in having me write an intro to Perl book, which I'm sort of glad for, because I soon after read davorg's article and felt the calling to address that need instead.
I pointed Davorg's article out to a publisher friend of mine and she jumped at the idea of having me write such a book. So now I'm writing up a proposal... wish me luck! I will post it here for technical review/guidance before sending it in... I'd love to get comments.
I hope this isn't yet another false start... we'll see.
