Been reading others' journals and am quite jealous of the European ones, where they talk about London, pubs and what-not. Don't get me wrong - I'm glad to be American - I get an overwhelming sense of American pride right when I head back from overseas (like I want to kiss the ground when I get back). But for fleeting moments, I wish I lived abroad - there's this beautiful B&B outside Bath that my wife & I have stayed in twice and they have this quaint pub nearby. I often think how cool it would be to own that B&B (or a small house nearby) and pretty much work from home and drink at the pub.
I always seem to have a problem with the grass being greener on the other side. Well, one thing's for sure: I do enjoy coding Perl much more than wrestling with management, as I have done in the past as a mid-level manager.
