Well, it's another week and I finally finished up a pretty massive project (well, maybe not massive, but a week o' work, for sure). It's probably the most complex script I've written, where it will weed out duplicate 'requests' based on the individual's Birthdate, Last Name and City (which was in another table). I had one version almost ready on Wednesday and totally scrapped half of it and re-wrote it again with another approach (which ended up saving a lot of time).
I worry sometimes about my mentality - this project wasn't so bad, but I've worked on big projects before and there's a certain threshold where I can no longer get my head around it. Perhaps the answer is better design work ahead of time & documentation. I easily slip into coding and that will be my downfall one of these days.
