NPW07 is finished and I'm getting ready to head home to San Francisco. My talk "Handling the Ball of Mud - How to deal with organically grown Perl applications that have gotten too big" was well received. I had several people come up to me after and said that it had struck a chord with them and their current codebase. It was a difficult topic to address but I think it's one that a lot of Perl programmers out there with successful codebases can relate to.
I got to hang out with some cool people, notably Josh McAdams, Richard Foley, Jos Boumans, Acme, and brian d foy. I got to see Salve Nilson from NPW 06 and he turned me on to some fine Belgian beer. All in all, a great time was had. Looking forward to NPW08 in Stockholm. Big thanks goes out to Jonas and crew for a successful workshop.
