First I saw shooting stars. Then I saw the beautiful alien spaceship in flames falling behind them. I saw a house crushed by another spaceship. I looked up and another spaceship glided above me, bright purple alloy semi-circles jutting from the back where the exhaust should be.
I fled in terror and when the last spaceship landed, aliens flooded out. They were wearing ActiveState t-shirts.
I really need to stop drinking caffeine before bedtime.

Remember the old saying: he who fights and runs away lives to run another day.
Hmm, maybe I have that wrong.

Not sure about the exact line but I get the meaning.
:) Of course, I am one to talk. In my dreams, I'm the guy that is running or flying away from the villains: mysterious men in black, aliens, dinosaurs, whatever. Yeah, I have some weird dreams too.
If it were a real alien invasion, I'd be the guy throwing rotten food and shooting stagnant pond water out of a water gun because we already know that our primitive weapons are useless.

Not everyone can fly, shoot force-beams from their fingers or eyes, or will things to polymorph or self-destruct. If one isn't a superhero or adventurer in ones dreams, fighting the aliens may not be so prudent.
Now, from my perspective, those aliens didn't sound so much threatening as misguided and in need of assistance... But, then, in *my* dreams, I can will the FNG into a Perl master. Well, on a good night.
