Don't have a commit bit for Pugs? They were handed out freely and, as far as I know, they still are. You could get one or, if you are like many Perl hackers, you already have one.
Then all you need to do is fix one of the Pugs tests listed in the parrot repository's languages/perl6/t/spectest.data and when someone does make spectest in parrot's languages/perl6/ directory, they'll be running your code. It's that easy to be on the ground level of people improving Perl 6.
