How the hell does Twitter make money? I'm completely stumped. I assumed it was plastered with ads, so I turned off adblock.

Somebody is making money off of pay clients, though. WTF.
Amazon didn't make money for the first 7 years so I'm sure twitter has plenty of time to work something out.
They don't how they'll make money either. Their investors, Union Square Partners say The question everyone asks is "What is the business model?" To be completely and totally honest, we don't yet know.
Don't be under the illusion that just because something LOOKS successful, it's actually profitable
This is just as true with people as it is with companies.
