I am now in Copenhagen at the Nordic perl Workshop. Looks like it's going to be a blast. A combination of old and new friends are here. Much fun. Too bad that my talk is opposite brian d foy's talk Learning Perl 6. He and I both agreed we wanted to be at the other's talk. Bummer.
I've also finally met brian's lovely wife, Stacey. Nice to know she really exists and isn't part of some elaborate hoax on brian's part :)
Outside the front door of my hotel, I can see the Marriott hotel. By coincidence, my father's in that hotel on business, the first time he's been in Copenhagen in years. As a result, I spent much of last night with him. That's rather curious as it's only the fifth time I've ever met him, but we do get on rather well. Fun trip, so far.
