I now have my grubby little hands on the second edition of AI Application Programming and I was more than a little shocked to see my name in the acknowledgements. It was even written correctly -- Curtis "Ovid" Poe. I wrote a Perl wrapper for his neural network code, but that's all I can remember (though I did swap some email with him, asking for permission. Maybe I said something else? Who knows)
