Talk about a relief. I've been a bit concerned about our company's finances lately. We're small -- only have 8 employees -- and some of our work appeared to be drying up. I hear rumors about more work, but I've learned the hard way not to get too excited about them.
I had enough. I cornered our office manager today and asked her to level with me. Do I need to look for work or not? She told me what's happening and I nearly jumped for joy. We're doing fine and, due to a new retainer agreement that one of our clients has agreed to, my job is perfectly secure. What a load off my mind.
My brother will be flying in from England at the end of March, beginning of April. It will be nice to see him again. Oddly, it will only be the third time in my life that I've seen him. Nice to finally have some family.
