There's an alpha of Vim 7.0 with Unicode support for OS X available at macvim.org. It has some problems, but I can now see Unicode characters properly. It's weird seeing Hebrew and Chinese in the same file (at least that's what I think they are in the pugs/AUTHORS file), but this will make life much easier for me.
