OSCON is over. Being my first tech convention, I really have nothing to compare it to, but it was wonderful nonetheless. I didn't get to half of the sessions that I wanted, however, due to unavoidable overlap and occassional oversleeping.
Piers Cawley and chromatic did an excellent job of convincing me that my idea for test contracts, while interesting, is probably not as useful as I had first envisioned.
And in other news, it appears that by Tuesday, I will be the proud daddy of a Sony VAIO PCG-Z505LS for only $162.00 US. A friend's company is getting rid of their "older" laptops. I almost feel guilty paying that little. A little searching on the 'net reveals that the lowest priced comparable machine I can find is about $370.00 and that one has a cracked monitor!
Life is good :)
