I just deleted (or at least scheduled for deletion) about 300 files from my CPAN directory. I've been meaning to do it ever since I found out about backpan. I put it off because I have so many darn modules I didn't know what to delete and keep. So I decided to delete most everything, except the last version, but keep the last two versions and any "significant" version of more important modules.
Anyway, this is an annual opportunity for me to say thanks to everyone who makes CPAN possible - and specifically hfb, Jarkko and Andreas who really do amazing work to keep everything running so smoothly behind the scenes.
