Why can't I bookmark an email, like I can a web page?

Why can't I search my web browser's cache, like I can an email folder?

These things need to be integrated, or at least easier.

I bookmark my yahoo webmail...

You could probably do something like this in Mozilla quite easily, add a stylesheet to layout an IMAP or POP3 request.

seems to work okay

grep is not integration. It's a tool, and you could build the integration *with* that tool, but you can't call it integration into my browser.

And bookmarking a file in a web browser isn't what I want either - I want to be able to bookmark an email, from within my email client (whether that integrates with my web bookmarks or not I don't care).
