Pond Ripples

Yesterday I cycled to Ayr and back. Nearly killed me. About 40km in total, and wind in my face on the return leg. I feel good for it though - it's good to be doing some sort of exercise now the snowboarding season is over.

It's difficult to cycle at the right time for photography. I really need to be biking around sundown, but then I'd be returning home in the dark. I have lights on my bike but I don't really trust Canadian drivers - some of them seem rather oblivious to cyclists.

Anyway, I did manage to find a spot with lots of shade and some old farm equipment. Great photographic opportunity. So this week's pics will probably all be from that place.

This is actually just the bottom of an old steel bucket. Pic straight from camera with my custom curve.

You know, that looks precisely like the inside of a maple sap bucket, such as my parents use on their farm. Extrordinarilly evocative image for me, since I've seen *way* too many of the insides of those.
