The local beer store in its infinite wisdom has decided to discontinue stocking "Old Speckled Hen", one of England's glorious ales that they were importing prior to now.
So rather than take the bastards to court, I've decided to try other ales (as well as buy up all the regional stock of the beer).
Tonight I'm sampling St Peter's English Ale, brewed in Bungay, Suffolk. It's an organic ale, but has a bit of a sharp bite to its bitterness, which is a shame after the smoothness of OSH.
What's strangest about this beer though is the bottle - it's the shape of a medicine bottle! I feel like some wierd hobo sitting here drinking this (either that or Father Jack).
