axkit.org/sergeant.org

It's amazing how hard it is to setup a new machine from scratch. Installing perl modules, services, setting everything up... It's taking me a couple of days.

The reason I'm having to do this is the machine running axkit.org and sergeant.org kind of died. The DSL router failed, and so I had to send a friend around to see if he could recover it, and he couldn't. So I'm moving everything to a new machine, but I want to set it up cleanly so I'm doing it from scratch.

Moving the files over takes a while, and I'm worried I'll forget some files.

Now I'm trying to setup all the software there. I've got IMAP running, and SMTP, and I've now tried to transfer over the domains to a new nameserver. I now need to get AxKit setup.

It's a long slog, I expect I'll be done by Monday though.

Woohoo!

You're alive! I was beginning to wonder when the mail went dead, then the site was gone. :-)

Awww

I've done it so many times it's become quite easy by now.

This might still be up to date...

Installing debian, well, I've done that too many times now, too, so think it's usually not so hard.
