Movie 1: Love Liza
A very moving film from new director Todd Louiso about a man whose wife has recently killed herself, and about his struggle to come to terms with this (or not) and how he copes with this (or doesn't). Powerful and touching. Starring who I think is possibly the best Hollywood actor of the current times: Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Worth seeing just for his amazing performance. 7 out of 10.
Movie 2: May
This film was incredible. I'm a big fan of horror flicks generally and this was just the best thing I've seen in years. Fantastic humour right through to the stunning climax. This was very different to your usual horror flick movie - not much gore up until the end, but just a great idea turned into a very enjoyable film. 9 out of 10 (lost one point because the cat gets it).
