I think Unix's greatest strength, the thing it has going for me over Windows, is man pages.

I can be coding something, anything, interfacing to C or the system libraries, and I'll get stuck on a system call, and just type "man ", and get the answers I need (sometimes I need to apropos first, to find the right section...). This sort of thing makes Unix (well, linux for me), a joy.

Oh, and the Month With Vi(m) is going well. Except people would think my vim looks like a silly GUI windows editor. And it does, but I like it that way.
