In the absence of Perl's advent calendar a few calendars have come along attemping to fill a gap, including one that i'm proud to stay I helped instigate: the Catalyst Advent Calendar.
Each entry is written in pod format (example) , so far including 5 great entries from the Catalyst dev team, and converted to HTML via Pod::Xhtml (see the Calendar controller).
As you may have noticed from some of the previous links, the source is available (here). Feel free to download it and try it out -- patches welcome.
