I finally bit the bullet and decided to upgrade to WinXP (Pro) from Win98SE. So, i headed out to Staples and got it.
If you clicked on that last link, you'll see that I paid $290.00 CDN before taxes. I died a little inside when they rang up the total. They also mentioned that once i broke the seal on the box I was doomed forever. By that I mean I couldn't return it unless there was some sort of manufacturer's defect. That just seems wrong.
Eventually, I was up and running. I decided, for no real reason, to update my Trustix ISO. But, my stupid burning software from my old machine doesn't DO ISOs. Luckily, a little googling turned up this gem. Just right-click on an ISO file and "Copy Image to CD."
