My first journal entry.
I've got something to admit. Although I have been Programming Perl for about a year and a half now, I have never read Programming Perl.
Up to now I have relied on Learning Perl, Data Munging with Perl, Effective Perl Programming and Object Orientated Perl. All of which are great books that I can throughly recommend.
People had always told me that Programming Perl (the book) was not a good read but I am really enjoying it it is teaching me things that I thought I already knew but didn't and it is funny!. To some extent, it is making me excited about writing Perl again - which lets face it has got to be a "good thing".
