Larry plugged my internals talk in the state of the onion. Public recognition--joy. Hopefully nobody to speak of will come. (Though there's a P6 Q&A session coming up this afternoon, so I can't dodge the spotlight entirely. Damn) If I'm going to get stuck in the public, I hope I at least get some of the goodies with it. (Like, say, a PerlWhirl invite... :)
He also wants the parser entirely in perl. I admit I generally don't think this is a good idea. Ah, well, too late to argue. I'll consider it appropriate impetus to get a fast interpreter.
We had a perl 6 opcode BOF this afternoon. I think some stuff came of it, better communication if nothing else. I vexed Sarathy to no end, I think, but that, alas, isn't anything new. We can all cope, I'm sure.
