It's been way too long, but alas I've been busy.
Parrot's getting a lot of interesting development. Thanks to Jeff Goff (who did the array and hash implementations) and Daniel Grunblatt (who's got the working beginnings of a JIT). Definitely cool, and it gives a 20-35x speedup depending on your CPU. x86 only (on Linux and BSD) at the moment, but that's not a bad place to start, and the code should be easily enough extended to other platforms.
The Perl Foundation's fundraising drive's in full swing. I put pages up for it, just because.
Oh, and we've had some serious interest in Parrot as an interpreter engine from folks pretty much entirely uninterested in perl. This is cool, really--more people to use and potentially work on the interpreter.
