Today my fiancée told me about one of her colleagues who would love to have a TIFF G4 to PDF converter. It seems there are several proprietary products that can do this, but he loves Open Source (and has a tight budget). Geez, I'd love to know what TIFF G4 is, anyway! (Something to do with fax compression, as far as Google can tell...) He seemed rather confident that it could be done with a page or so of Perl code (I suspect he uses scrolls and not folios).
I guess that if I want to help them, I'll have to install PDF::API2, and find out what TIFF (PDF: 385 KB / 121 pages) G4 is... If I am lucky, $img = $pdf->image('some.tif'); might even work!
Anyway, the top of the stack of things to do will be covered with other stuff, and I'll forget everything about TIFF G4. Not much to worry about, really... ;-)
