Got about 10 days of free time before I'm dragged back into school. The past week has been quite nice, if I say so myself. I met up with a really nice girl *cough* and she even runs Linux. She likes coffee, being lazy and partying. Where did I find her? I'm not telling. I hope things move in the right direction with her. Chances of her reading this are EXTREMLY slim, but Els, if you're reading this : I like you a lot!
On the computer side of things, boring as ever, I installed another firewall and started writing on SmoothMod (or Project Pisa, as I'm calling it at the moment). It will be a rewrite from scratch of the Smoothwall webbased GUI. I noticed that they're using an older version of GD/gd, one that still uses GIF (*ARGH*). I decided to put up a small page with info on how to update software on smoothie so other people might benefit from this. Plans so far include getting a newer perl version on there (one that is better for Project Pisa), mc (midnight commander) and MRTG (replace IPAC). Also, some info will be on the site on how to disable the autoregistering of your smoothie.
