F9 is defined as the default key to show all open windows with a funky animation. To show the animation slower, hold the shift key while pressing F9.
For my coding, I use Smultron. The Line ending configuration has modes for Unix Mac OS X, Mac and also Dark Side (CRLF).
My DHCP lease apparently caused the hostname to automagically change the hostname (but not all DHCP leases had this effect). Eventually, I set the hostname in the Network Preferences under DHCP Client ID
