According to this article, some girl send 6807 messages last month. Last month had 31 days. That makes it approx 219 messages a day. At 24 hours a day, that would mean that a 17 year old girl sent 9 text messages an hour... for 24 hours a day. How is this even phyiscally possible?? Don't these people have lives to live? I've heard about the gameboy thumb but the text messaging thumb??

So texting reached the states. These figures actually don't suprise me at all. I know a couple people that used to reach that level when they were in their late teens. That was around 2000.

They usually reach such high numbers by bulk messaging to a bunch of people. The messages are sent and billed individually, but you type only one.
