Pocket PC app annoyances

Most of the applications on my Pocket PC do not have a specific 'exit' menu item (the ones that do are pretty rare). They all have the typical [X] button in the top right corner and you'd hope/expect that that button DWIM. Unfortunatly it doesn't. A normal Windows Mobile has no menu bar. There is no quick way of seeing which applications are open. Unless you kill an application explicitly (by going through a maze of system panels), most applications will just keep running. This is extremly annoying if you're just watched some holiday snapshots, loaded up some big webpage and then load in a few Word files.. When I close an application, I expect it to close, damnit!

As mentioned, there is no menu bar in Windows Mobile. Switching between different applications is pretty much impossible without some extra tool (surprise, surprise, obviously there is no Alt-Tab).

Magic Button

I use the Magic Button, which can be used to both switch between apps (in the title bar), and really exit programs. Free (beer style).
